IYABO is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City working across music, film, and performance.
In New York, Iyabo works as an actor across theater, film, and live performance, drawing from her training at the William Esper Studio’s two-year Meisner conservatory program. She continues to expand her work across theater, film, and creative direction.
Originally trained in church choir, the self-described “rapper who sings” blends rap, soul, and alternative R&B through sharp lyricism, vulnerable melodies, and dynamic live performance. Moving fluidly between silky vocals and quick-delivered bars, she brings emotional honesty and performance-driven storytelling to everything she creates. Her work lives at the intersection of acting, music, and performance.
